After 6 years, my old Sony headphones finally broke. It is a sad day for all of Oz (what?). However, I promptly found new ones at newegg.com!

Paid a visit to Taughannock Falls
Semi-successfully staining oak furniture
When I’m not composing, I have a side business staining furniture called Scrumtrulescent Stainery. Here you can see some of my handywork: before, after strip/sanding, and after the completed staining and finishing. Also, the first sentence is not intended to be a factual statement.
At any rate, I spent the whole weekend doing this, but it was fun to see the end result (by “end result” I mean terrible muscle pain from bending over the table while staining).
iPad
Meet Goatly, our new iPad (excuse the obscure animated comedy references). Thanks to the in-laws, I can now entertain [distract] myself for hours playing with GarageBand for iPad. I’ll have to look at some of the other music apps down the road.
Website Redesign
I took some time to redesign my personal website (the one you’re probably looking at now). I wanted to separate my music better, and make it easier to navigate. Also, I added a small “design” page to showcase some of my web design work. Let me know what you think, or if something doesn’t seem to look right (I probably haven’t tested it in other browsers as much as I should have).
